• Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I’m assuming this is a pretty common questions but…

I have installed wordpress onto my site and getting on with it quite happily. It sits on a host with has three other websites and is all working fine, its just that I want the permalinks to appear differently, to match the domain name. At present they display the host location and then directory that they are in. I’ve tried to follow the instructions of changing the site homepage being different from the directory, but now get an error 404, although when I look in my permalink panel they are how I would like them to appear.

WordPress did place all my files in a separate directory automatically as I have a further two website being hosted from the same host, one being a direct host from a /index.htm page. Don’t know if that is confusing matters and need to put all of my sites in their own directories?

    Hope this all makes sense.

    J-P
