wordpress address url and blog address url

What is the significance of blog address url

in my dashboard general settings it clearly states- for blog address url (Enter the address here if you want your blog homepage to be different from the directory you installed WordPress.)

i want that so i specified wordpress blog url as https://www.schoolsearch.in/blog and blog address url as- https://www.schoolsearch.in/blogs. now when I run this (www.schoolsearch.in/blogs) – page not found
