    Hello. I have a Question to Ask from you People.

    Whenever i access to my wordpress each time wordfence send me an email about Admin login.

    What i need o make and ask from You that each time when i open that Admin login Email sometimes the IPs are Different on each Email.
    User IP
    User Location

    I access my WP from same location from my home from my laptop Only.

    But each time when they send an email aboit admin login.
    So user IP is different on each email.

    Is this something error? Or its Normal?

  • Hi @saimrasheed,

    There’s three reasons why this might be happening:

    1. Wordfence is not obtaining its IP addresses correctly

    Can you go into Wordfence -> All Options -> How does Wordfence get IPs, and look under Your IP with this setting:

    For example: https://i.imgur.com/MiGuA1y.png

    This IP should match the one found in this link: https://www.google.com/search?q=what%20is%20my%20ip

    If it does not match, cycle through the available options until it does match the IP found in Google search.

    2. Your laptop is connecting through a proxy or VPN

    If you are using a proxy server:

    a. Press the Windows Key + R
    b. Type inetcpl.cpl and open
    c. Select the Connections tab
    d. Click on LAN Settings
    e. Uncheck Use a proxy server

    For example: https://i.imgur.com/bZnRacj.png

    If you are using a VPN:

    a. Press the Windows Key + R
    b. Type ncpa.cpl and open
    c. Look for any connected VPN icons

    For example: https://i.imgur.com/zVIs1yE.png (I only had bluetooth + Ethernet)

    3. Someone else is signing into your account

    Are you sure all the logins are from you? You may want to cross-reference the login times found within Wordfence -> Tools -> Live Traffic. Were the logins using the same browser as you? Were the login times consistent with the times you logged in?

    You can also search the different IPs to see if it’s an attacker who managed to gain access into your account.

    Point No 1 is Correct. My IP is Matching

    Now what to do Next?

    Hi again,

    If your IP is matching, then #1 is not the reason. Can you check the other recommendations too? Check #3, where if someone else is logging into your account through Wordfence -> Tools -> Live Traffic.

    Actually For No:3
    I will say that there is only 1 User & that is Me.

    If other user can login how he knkws my Username & Password.

    Also, my Wp Login URL is also changed. Its not the default URL. (Changed by me)
