• I am having an issue with a wordpress site of mine. The site is very small with maybe 5 pages and 1 post. The site only has 4 or 5 plugins.

When I log into the admin section and choose pages it shows the pages of the site. If I click edit on any of the pages it prepares to load the pages and just goes to a blank screen as if it never serves the page, but the page stops loading. I have switched to the default theme, turned off all plugins and this is still happening.

The only thing I have done is uninstall woocommerce. Has anyone experienced this issue?

  • Out of curiosity who are you hosted with. Personally, it sounds like sub-par hosting to me. It could be a php version issue too though. It is suggested you set your php version to 5.6 or later.

I recently had this issue with a few sites on a well known host. Two of the sites were using the hosts managed WP plans while the others were on cpanel hosting. When I called the host they were happy to take a look and wound up fixing the problem for me. Turned out on the sites hosted on the cpanel server we just had to change the php version to 7.2 because the theme required it but I had missed the announcement from the theme developer.

They claim they updated the PHP version to 7.0. The site is running WordPress 5.2.2.

Did that fix the problems you were having?
