• Lately I’ve noticed a funny issue while using Google AdSense and WordPress… while AdSense works great on my site, it only delivers ads targeted to the keyword “blog” on my blog. This is really weird, as I rarely use the word “blog”, and there are certainly other targeted keywords that show up a lot more frequently. This is even happening on permalinked pages where the word “blog” is only used in the URL! My blog is indexed by Google, and these aren’t PSA’s, so that’s not the problem.

Has anyone else run into this issue and figured out what caused it? I saw a post awhile back in the archives of this forum, but eventually the poster’s AdSense started working normally and they never figured out what the problem was.

    TIA!

  • I have many different types of irrelevant ads on different types of pages. I do not believe that the URL has anything to do with it. I have written twice to Google asking if there is a way to choose the subject of the advertising and they replied the first time by saying that they appreciated my comments and would pass it along. The second time they said:

Although we don’t currently offer the ability to select ads for a particular page, we appreciate your feedback. To help us keep better track of your comments and feature suggestions, please feel free to submit them
    at https://google.com/adsense_features_email.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the difference is between the three AdSense plug-ins and which is best (AdSense-Deluxe, MightyAdSense or AdSense-Paster).

I was getting nothing but Blog related ads on my site. I did a wordcount for Blog on my home page…245 times it showed up. The reason? I was using the phpmoplroll plugin & widget. The word blog or blogroll roll showed up over 200 times because of the number of people in my blogroll and the frequent usage of variables with the word blog in it. I rewrote the plugin / widget and now have about 20 refernces to blog on my page….mostly in links.
