I’m having a problem with wordpress and adsense in that I can’t seem to get relevant ads on my homepages, but can on the post pages themselves. The ads pick up blogging ads rather than my topic (eg eyesurgerylasik.net) but then show relevant ads for the same article on the posted page.

Any suggestions why this might be happening are greatly appreciated.

  • Broomy – I HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM – See the post – WordPress is killing Adsense.

I’m getting stupid non-relevant ads on the first page of the blog that are totally irrelevant to the site.

Subsequent posts seem to be ok – and this is on several sites, not just one of them.

    See
    https://www.miamiandthebeaches.com/wordpress/ and
    https://innercycling.com/blogs

*sometimes* once in a while the ads are relevant on the home page of the blog but most of the time they are not.

Why did you resurrect this post – just to gripe about a problem you’ve already posted about?
What makes you think Broomy still has a problem?

miamittom – you ads seem pretty relevant to me on both of those sites at the moment. There are two particular blogs that I have this problem on but i’ve noticed very recently that the ads are more targeted, i just hope this is a sign that the google adsense bot has got the gist of my site better than before. I’ll have to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks.

tom – go back to your thread… ?? everyone else who has looked at your site has seen stuff fine. it takes time, has nothing specific to do with wordpress.

    Hi Guys & Girls

I’m new to this but from reading this post can I assume that the adsense code I am placing in posts will remain blank for a small while as Google crawls my site?

If that’s the case, I’ll just gt on with posting. ??
