WordPress and Go daddy hosting…Really slow, need help.

I am using Go daddy to host my site, and it seems really slow. Go daddy was no help at all when I asked them why it was so slow.

So can you guys help me by telling me some good tips and tricks to speed up wordpress, since go daddy seems to be a slow host?
