• I know this has been discussed before but I can’t find an answer. When I search for an author that has an apostrophe in his name, I get no results.

If you search for O’connor, there are no results but it you search for Connor, it shows the author.

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

  • I don’t have a fix for you, except to point out that this is not a problem with the native WordPress search function, but whatever you’re using for this book search.

That’s because if you use the built-in WordPress search function, you’ll get results for “O’connor”. Of course, this searches for posts as well, not just products, and doesn’t offer the advanced filtering options.

    Here’s a test: https://encantobooks.com/?s=O’connor

The default WordPress search does not contain special characters, so you have to search for the author by using specific, typical keywords.
