WordPress Archive Error: “error 12 from storage engine”

  • Good day!

    I recently noticed that the archive section in my sidebar is generating an error that reads,

    WordPress database error: [Got error 12 from storage engine]
    SELECT DISTINCT YEAR(post_date) AS year, MONTH(post_date) AS month, count(ID) as posts FROM wp_posts WHERE post_type = ‘post’ AND post_status = ‘publish’ GROUP BY YEAR(post_date), MONTH(post_date) ORDER BY post_date DESC

    Is there anyone who could help me debug this? Thank you ??

  • Likely a MySQL server problem or memory leak. Talk to your host–myabe they can reboot that server for starters.
