Is it safe to make WordPress as a video course website? I have a client that wants to make a website with video courses and he wants to make it so that people pay to view them.

I was thinking of deactivating the WordPress user registration and giving a user account to a person once they make a payment through paypal. I guess I can just make the videos only accessible to logged in people?

    Any recommendations?

  • There are a number of “membership” plugins or theme/plugin packages. Many of them are not free, but they have been set up to do just what you’re looking for.

Your solution could work, but how many students will the course have? If it’s a lot, the membership plugins do other things such as integrating with payment gateways, etc. You might look into them to see what they offer.

Thanks, I found this plugin that apparently will do the job, even the free version:
