WordPress as Corporate Intranet
-
Hello – I have just installed WordPress locally for it to be used as a Corporate Intranet. Installation went perfectly and everything works fine IF I am using the local machine. Before any configuration changes, WordPress is setup to use “localhost” – meaning that it doesn’t work if I am trying to access WordPress from another PC. Obviously, there are several places where “localhost” needs to be changed to the host machine name ( or IP address ).
If anyone can point me in the right direction as to where this change needs to made, that would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: I changed “localhost” to the appropriate machine name on the WordPress general settings page – for both WordPress address and Blog address. I can now successfully access the blog from remote PCs by going to https://machine_name/wordpress
However, when I try to login to administer WordPress ( from the local machine OR a remote one ), the login page https://machine_name/wordpress/wp-admin redirects me to https://machine_name/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2F which looks like the exact same page. I am missing something….somewhere…..using https://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin on the local machine still works fine…weird.
Thanks in advance.
