WordPress backend ‘crashing’ after installing a different language…

  • Hi all,

    I’ve done this a dozen times…but this time it’s not working…: localisation of the backend. I’ve installed the corresponding (to WP 2.8.2) language ‘mo’ but when I set it in the wp-config…the backend crashes…
    It gives the following error:
    “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in [domain info here]/wp-admin/includes/user.php on line 121”
    And after a page refresh the screen stays blank…

    Has anyone else experienced this?

  • You need to up your PHP memory limit.

    Ok….found the ‘memory limit fix’…
    I initially didn’t think about that since I’ve only got a few plugins installed…but they’re whopping big plugins though, like cForms and MagicFields….

    So: problem solved!
