WordPress Backup Folder-Cleaning

  • I’ve tried hunting around in the forum and on the net, but, just not getting the answer I want.

    I have a folder labeled backup for my WP installation, which resides in the wp-content folder. There are a lot of files within the backup folder which end with .sql. Is it OK to delete most of them? They take up a lot of space.

    Any help is appreciated.

    It would be reasonable to assume these are your backup files. Are you sure you want to delete your backup files? These files are not normally generated by WordPress.
