smcasey- I customized a template for wordpress. When searching for a band theme there was really not a great one out there that already supported wordpress. It was a bit of a learning curve but worth the effort.

Does anyone know of good music player/download widgets? I want to be able to have the preview player and then a purchase link beside it.

That’s a pretty good band site. One thing I would do is update the blog much more often. Now that you’re “back home” you can still update your fans on local gigs, discuss new music, or anything else that you’re up to.
