WordPress blocks me from logging in after logging out

    When I log out of WP it IMMEDIATLY blocks me from loggin in again and penalizes me for a couple of hours. That is before even trying to input any details and press the login button.

    looks like you might have a security tool active on your site.
    check with your host and check on your plugins using your file manager or FTP access.
    see if you can temporarily deactivate any security tools so you an check into the situation.

    Maybe you talk about WP cerber? Can it be the culprit? Because I recall it showing blocking my own IP when I looked at the settings, but since then I have whitelisted my IP.

    I was not referring to a specific tool however, if you are using a plugin that might be controlling access like Cerber Security & Antispam then it would be best to visit and ask your question on the plugin support page:
