    Hi,
I’ve just removed some old themes that haven’t been used for years from https://www.computerarticles.co.uk. I have only used the one theme for the last two years and this theme still remains (it is the only theme I have installed now) but after removing the old themes all I now get is a completely blank page whenever I visit the site.

In an attempt to troubleshoot I have reinstalled wordpress and updated the theme to the latest version (I can still access computerarticles.co.uk/wp-admin) but whenever I try to view the actual site itself I am left with a blank page.

I’d really appreciate it if anyone has any idea what might be causing this?

    Cheers!

    Chris

  • Re-upload the Twenty Ten theme and try switching to that.

Yes, I have a similar issue. My visual editor screen blank but HTML coe works normally. Other pages are fine. This page looks fine when published. So, Preblem is likje this:
Visual editor is blank but all other functions for this page fine.
As a result, I can’t edit this particular page from visual editor. Please help!

Alas the problem continues. I’ve downloaded Twenty Ten and a couple of other themes and all present the same blank screen when activated.

The theme I was actually using was Atahualpa 3.6.7 – I have reactivated this theme now but it would appear to not be theme specific since the problem is present over multiple themes.

    Thanks again

@nadiaj: It is considered impolite to interrupt another poster’s thread. Also your issue is completely different. Please post a new topic.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thanks for your help esmi – Two tics, I’ll do that now.

Wow, it was a plugin that was causing the problem. I’m really confused as the problem happened the same time as I removed a theme file which doesn’t really make any sense in my head but not to worry, I’ve reactivated the only themes I actually use and all appears to be fine.

Have lost all my customisations after having to forcibly reinstall Atahualpa during my earlier troubleshooting but that can wait until the morning (not sure where you are but it’s midnight in the UK).

Thanks again for your help; it’s really appreciated.

    Glad I could help ??
