WordPress Blog single installation

  • Hi good peoples,

    I am designing a website turionit.com ( now in maintenance mode). I want to start a blog as this link : blog.turionit.com. As far as I know it is a sub domain. Is it possible to manage the blog.turionit.com with single wordpress installation( I have already installed on tuirionit.com)

    That means simply I want to have a blog link blog.turionit.com but I want to manage it with turionit wordpress dashboard. is it possible? if possible how can I do it?

    You want the subdomain “blog” to take visitors directly to your site’s /blog/ page, without the need to specify a path?

    You need to add the subdomain name to your hosting account where you can specify what path such requests should be directed to. The software may not let you specify /blog/ as the path since it does not physically exist on the server. In that case direct subdomain traffic to your WP installation and add a rewrite rule in .htaccess that checks %{HTTP_HOST} for the subdomain and rewrites to /blog/ accordingly.

    If the hosting software will accept a non-existent path, but doing so still fails to work properly, proceed as above where the path was not accepted.
