this doesn’t seem to work for me…does this work for www.ads-software.com blogs hosted at private domains?

In case you are using a self hosted wordpress site, please ensure to have the following option enabled:
Settings->Writing->Remote Publishing->XML-RPC(Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols.)
