WordPress can no longer find wp_config
-
I successfully installed WordPress several weeks ago. I noticed I was getting an error using wp_list_pages and followed the advice in this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic.php?id=26092 . I downloaded the two files in changeset 2421 and overwrote my existing files of the same name. Hooray! I no longer have the error. But now I can’t get into the backend of WordPress. Whether I go to https://www.example.com/wp-admin/ in my browser or click on the SiteAdmin link on my website (yes, the website is coming up just fine) I get the error message “There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.” Mind you, the file has been there and functioning for weeks. I re-uploaded it from my hard drive just in case it had gotten corrupted. No help. I clicked on the link to create the file via web interface, and it said I already had the file! Anybody have any ideas?
