WordPress Categories in Post Editor Vanished!

  • Suddenly, all categories in my WordPress site are gone. They are in the category manager, but when I go to post, they are not there. Strangely though, the “Most Used” tab displays the most used categories just fine.

    I have so far tried the following:

    1. Disable all plugins.
    2. Upload a fresh copy of the admin-edit.php & admin-post.php file.
    3. Prayed.

    Any help on this would be great. Thanks.
