WordPress changing permissions and odd issues

  • Hi,

    We moved client”s WordPress Blog from a UNIX to a windows platform. At first we had an issue with not being able to access the index.php because mod.rewrite was not able to work on the windows server so we installed, ISAPI Rewrite 3 and we were able to access the blog.

    Now something very odd is happening. all of a suddent he permissions on the blog folder (wpblog) permissions got resetted to a point where the blog could no longer be accessed, so we set full control on all user to see and it worked. NOw the permissions gets resetted now and then.

    An odd issue is with the search. When we get to the blog and do a search it sends the URL :

    https://www.b2bsalesconnections.com/wpblog/Index.php?s=business&submit=Search

    See the capital (I)??? This cause a 404 when the link is :

    https://www.b2bsalesconnections.com/wpblog/index.php?s=business&submit=Search

    Small case I the search returns results.

    Any idea what to look for?

    Is athere any plugin in wordpress or code that could play with the folder permissions?

    Is there any plugin where we could get a detailled log of EVERY activity on the blog?
