Hi there! I want to start a blog and not have to pay any hosting for it. With that said, I was going to use wordpress.com to start the blog and begin to build it out. After it starts to gain traction, I’d like to eventually migrate it from wordpress.com to an actual wordpress website using a theme or a shopify website. With that said, is there a way I can migrate all the data (meta data, published date/posting time, images, text, formatting, etc.) from the wordpress.com blog to a www.ads-software.com or Shopify website using your plugin? Thanks!

    Hi @waldoctg,

I don’t think the free hosting plan on wordpress.com allows you to install plugins, so I’m afraid this wouldn’t be possible. If you did pay for the plan that allows plugins, then you could migrate most of your data (excluding things like plugins and themes) with our plugins, but only to a www.ads-software.com site, not to Shopify (our plugins only work on WordPress).

Will it migrate all the data (meta data, published date/posting time, images, text, formatting, etc.) if I pay for it?

    Hi @waldoctg,

The free versions of our plugins can migrate the text, dates, posts, etc, but it doesn’t support migrating meta data or images (unless you’re using an add-on that adds support for those). If you are asking if the paid versions of our plugins can, then please send that question to us via https://www.wpallimport.com/support/ – we can only answer questions about our free plugins on this forum.
