I have been trying for days to connect my woocommerce store to google listing and I get stuck on wordpress.com login. It says I do have an account registered with wordpress.com since the email is registered (the same email for all things).

I have tried to recover the password, multiple times it is denied.

I don’t know any other email I could have used to register on wordpress.com.

    My wordpress is self-hosted.

Do I have to become a subscriber to wordpress.com in order to get that solved?

I tried to log in wordpress.com site and the same loop of password reset goes on.

Also read many threads here and am scared at having to subscribe and leave all my docker compose behind to jump into hosted site.

    Please point me a way.

    Hello @deborahwp78,

Do I have to become a subscriber to wordpress.com in order to get that solved?

You definitely don’t need a subscription to WordPress.com.

I have tried to recover the password, multiple times it is denied.

If you forgot your WordPress.com username/email you can fill out the following
    Account Recovery Form: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Feel free to use any of the proof of ownership methods available, once submitted one of our Happiness Engineers will reach out to request more information or give you access back to that account.

To learn more about the account recovery process, you can check this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you so much.
I have tried that recovery and failed because I am logged in mydomain/wp-admin and having provided the key, which I got from the 2FA session, the form immediately recognized my identity. I keep resetting the password, and it has been changing the password to access my multisite dashboard. I even activated jetpack thinking it should help, and the whole thing keeps resetting passwords…

I now have cleared cache on Cloudflare, disabled all plugins but woocommerce and google listings and will give it another try on your recovery tip.

    Thanks a lot.

    Here is what helped:

I read again about each proof of ownership on:

    Account Recovery Form: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

One of them says email is proof. I found the email with subject:

    Reminder: Activate (username)

I finally logged in wordpress.com and with no subscription.

Email is just not logging, the problem was knowing the username.

    Hi @deborahwp78

I’m glad you were able to find a solution to your inquiry here and thanks for sharing it with the community too! ??

Meanwhile, if you have a few minutes, we’d love it if you could leave us a review:
