WordPress comment import from wordpress not working

  • I’m trying to re-install my website. I exported all content from site A and imported it to a url that I wasn’t using at the time using the wordpress import tool. Everything seemed to transfer over fine except the comments. On the home page I can see an excerpt of the article, and the number of comments underneath. But when I go to click on the article, there are no comments underneath the article.
    In the comment dashboard I see the comments, there is no total number of “approved” comments, but they are all there in the dashboard..

    Why is this happening, and what can i do to make it work?

    ya, I am importing from wordpress, into wordpress again. The onnly reason why i’m doing this is so i can completely reinstall wordpress again. My options table is corroded and redundant… I still have the backups
