wordpress consulting to help reduce cpu usage

  • Howdy all,

    I’ve got a client site I work on that has (seemingly) overly high CPU usage, despite my best efforts to get it down to a manageable level for the small VPS host it’s running on. It’s cached, minimal plugins, minimal bot traffic, etc. CPU’s still too high, but before we kick it up to a dedicated box, I’m wondering if anybody has a suggestion where I could find some reasonable WP consultant to perhaps take a look to see if I’m missing something.

    I’m probably inviting a lot spam here, but I guess I’ll take that chance. FYI, it’s essentially a stock install of WP, imported from Movable Type a year or so ago. It has a bit of custom PHP code to create a custom layout for certain channels, but that’s about it.

  • I’d start with WP-Pro, which you can find here (and it has a bunch of places to check.)

    I believe a mod will come by and close this thread too – they don’t like this kind of stuff on the forums. So I’d post a spam-unriendly email address (like “email AT whatever DOT com” format) and let people contact you off the forums ??
