WordPress Corporate Use: Single Server Install – multiple blogs and RSS?

  • I recently installed WordPress on an Ubuntu box in my IT department. Smoothe, easy install – thanks WordPress team! Now my questions…

    I want to use WordPress as an intranet corporate blog site, allowing different departments to have their own sections, and I would like RSS feeds for each of those separate sections. Is this possible with a single server installation of WordPress (v2.3.3)?

    If WordPress isn’t the solution, then I don’t know what is. I could setup a Joomla or Drupal server, but I want the ease and functionality of a blog, not necessarily a CMS.

    Any ideas / suggestions please?
