I am using WordPress v. 3.9 to build my website, Suddenly without any reasons my website stopped working and gave me this error:
    https://amanegypt.com/
I didn’t access admin area months ago and i didn’t make any changes to the website or server configuration.I have tried to disable all plugins and theme manually but still not working, I contacted Server support the replied:

“It looks like there is WordPress redirection configured. Please check your wordpress database or try to reinstall the app.
Please check your website’s redirect settings, and the custom error pages configured.”

This website is full of data (Pages & Posts) and a lot of settings, it will be very hard to reinstall it again.
It’s hosted on Windows Server 2008.
    Any Help Please?

have you been into your server (via cPanel for example)? are the files that make WordPress still there? have you checked to see if your database is still in place?

if those things are still there then you’ve got less of a problem to worry about than it may seem.

go into your server and rename the plugins folder to something else. go back to your browser and refresh to see if that has made a difference. if yes, great! if no, move on…

check that everything in the config.php file has the right web address and database settings, then go into your database and check the wp_options table to make sure that all of the mentions of the site are the right web address.

beyond that i can’t think of too much more that could account for it. over to the rest of the forum for more detailed solutions. also, i’d recommend getting off a windows server (especially one running a version of windows server that’s no longer supported by microsoft and is 6 years old) and on to a linux server.

You are the man ?? Thank you very much.
I have renamed the plugin folder to plugin_ and refreshed the browser and website is working fine without errors and without plugins as well ??
Then i renamed it again to plugin the error gone!! This is so Weird!!!

sweet! next step for you is to go through all your plugins and find out whether they are up to date and compatible with your version of wordpress. if this problem has happened once it could happen again…

if you’ve got plugins that haven’t been updated for more than a couple of months or show that they’re not compatible up to your version of wordpress then you need to get rid of them and find newer more reliable versions.

i do recommend updating wordpress to version 4.0, it’s more secure and better ??
