WordPress Customizer – Custom CSS Auto-complete – Turn Off
-
Ever since WordPress started with the auto-complete and auto-validate CSS in the Custom CSS module of customizer, I have had to do far more keyboard work.
This auto-complete feature is like a mobile phone auto-complete for texting. It creates errors because it inserts text that was not intended. With the Customizer, it takes far more work to offset or stop the auto-complete than manually inserting text myself.
The auto-validate also creates problems. When errors are made, it causes the line position to suddenly shift up or down by many lines, forcing me to scroll again and again to return to the spot I was at.
These auto features may be helpful to newbies in CSS, but for those with training and experience, do not need the extra work these features cause.
With the extra scripts running to have these auto features is not worth the hassle and trouble, as well as loading and browser performance lags.
I want to turn this off and keep it off.
Does anyone know where I can turn this off and make the Custom CSS a straight and plain text window?
