WordPress cutting off content at symbols

I’ve been having this problem for a while now but can’t ignore it anymore as it causing a lot of grief. Basically whenever content is added to a page or post and it contains a character such as ‘, ￡, €, etc.. WordPress cuts off the rest of the content.

I’ve searched everywhere for an answer but come up blank.

PS – it only seems to happen on one of my hosting accounts and not the other!
