• Ok so wordpress dashboard is very slow and some times I have to reload like 5 times until it loads the whole page. I have tried a loooot of things e.g. 4 hours worth of trying to fix it. The only thing I can think of which I have done today is updated to the new version of Google Chrome. But then I tried it on Firefox & internet explorer and still not working.

    Any bright ideas?

    Any ideas seriously appreciated! Thanks

  • it could be your webhosting issue, check your CPU usage log in your cPanel.

Thanks SNSD. Went in to my Bluehost and it said this.

WARNING: During the past 24 hours your account has been throttled for a total of 96.298 seconds.

What does this mean? I haven’t been able to properly access my Admin area now for around 15 hours. Also when spoke to live Bluehost person they said the site looks fine from their end :-(.

charlesleahy I believe the throttling is related to CPU usage. Bluehost uses CPU throttling to prevent overages of CPU usage that could come from one user. On my own account I see the throttling every now and then. But 98 seconds in their 24 hour reporting period typically doesn’t show any noticeable issues or slowdowns on my own sites. (sometimes I’m seeing up to 200-400 seconds and still don’t notice anything).

Anyway, if they’re showing it as loading just fine it could be a connection issue of some kind. What is your site URL? I’m curious how it loads for me.

It is always possible that these things can be theme or plugin related. You should really evaluate those.

It is also possible to remove some of those dashboard widgets to reduce the load.

However, that it is a connection issue as bh_sp_guy suggested, stands a pretty good chance of being true.
