    Since we updated the plugin to version 5.4.1 we’ve been seeing the error below several times in the PHP error log. Since today several users can no longer login to WordPress so I am wondering if it is related.

    WordPress database error Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction for query DELETE FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = '_transient__siteground_optimizer_installing' made by require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-load.php'), require_once('wp-config.php'), require_once('wp-settings.php'), do_action('init'), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, SiteGround_Optimizer\Install_Service\Install_Service->install, delete_transient, delete_option

    You can ignore those lines. I would do a transients purge on your site with ‘wp transient delete-expired’ for example or a plugin just to clean things up.
