• Hi

Since this morning my site suddenly stopped working (“could not connect to database” error).
So I did the ‘define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true);’ via wp-config file and still got some errors afterwards. WordPress sait to please copy-and-paste the following list of errors to the WordPress support forums to get additional assistance.
    So here I am ??

wp_posts: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
wp_comments: 3 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_options: Table is marked as crashed
wp_postmeta: 23 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_commentmeta: 3 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly

My site is working now (https://paulvanderheyde.com), so I don’t know how big the problem is. But the strange thing is that I didn’t do anything to my site or database. More than a week since I added a photograph (woocomemrce product) and everything was working fine (until this morning, or maybe this night). Can a database just crash out of the blue??

    Thanks!

  • Hi

Yes. If the database crash out of the sudden. The server is down and will be back soon as the server solved it.

    Hi

Thanks for the reply .. I’ve had servers down before. But that’s usually a few minutes and my other sites (on the same hosting) are then down as well.
This time, only this site was affected and for a few hours (I actually thought it were just the servers).

    Strange …
