WordPress Directory Theme Question

I’m setting up a therapist directory and noticed that the leading directory site in America comes up on page 1 of Google when you search for therapist by city e.g. therapist New York and gives you a list of therapists in New York when you click on the page entry. You then land on this page:

https://therapists.psychologytoday.co…herapists.html

Given that the domain name of the site is psychologytoday.com does anyone know how they manage to create this url which obviously helps to get them on page 1 of Google.
