WordPress does not send emails!

  • I have had this problem a few days now. I thought it was a plugin issue, but then I installed wp-emails to check if wp is indeed sending them and I found out that it is not.

    How can I get WP to send emails again?

  • It’s possibly something to do with your hosting company’s setup.

    I’d try setting up Mandrill. (free service for first 12,000 msgs every month). You’ll need to sign up for the service here: https://mandrill.com/signup/ and their WordPress plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wpmandrill/

    What this does is route all calls to wp_mail through their API instead of your host’s default mail server.

    If something on your server is blocking the messages from going out, this will get around it.
