WordPress doesn’t realise I own the domain name?

  • I changed my domain name from https://46.32.240.35/liaisoncommunications.com to https://www.liaisoncommunications.co.uk a domain name which I own and is hosted by 123-reg.com, as I was ready for the site to be up and running. I also own liaisoncommunications.com which is the old site.

    But now when I go to the .co.uk link it tells me that domain name is already taken….yeah by me! I have tried editing wp-config.php and functions.php and putting the new url in to redirect but nothing is happening?

    I am supposed to do something on the host site?

    Hopefully I’m missing something really obvious…..

    Does anyone know what I’ve done and how to fix it?

    This has nothing to do with WordPress. I think that your hosting is not properly recognizing that it’s hosting your domain, so I’d start with their tech support folks.
