WordPress Download Hacked?

  • It’s strange you should ask that. I used both the .zip and the .tar files today with no problems.

    (1.76 and 1.54MB respectively)

    I doubt there is any problem. It seems like an editing over-sight to me.

    WP 2.6.5 was 1.44 and 1.24 (zip and tar respectively) so It’s hard to believe that anything nefarious is taking place. Good catch. I wait for other comments..

    On the bright side we have the same file size, whatever it may contain.

    Still not fixed.

    So you are not able to extract the files successully?

    I think the OP is referring to the fact that on the download page it states the ZIP file is 1.2 MB when it is actually larger that that.

    @miqrogroove – No the download package wasn’t hacked but that’s a good question to ask. Shows you are observant. ??
