WordPress Favicon not being replaced by new favicon file

  • I uploaded a new favicon in this website (Avada theme) and it is not updating in the browswer field in Safari. It doesn’t show up in Chrome (but it does in Chrome Incognito mode).

    Help?

    It doesn’t show up in Chrome (but it does in Chrome Incognito mode).

    Browser caching is strong for favicons. The fact that it shows up in Incognito, where it isn’t using the cache, indicates the issue.

    Clear the browser cache. That will likely fix it up for that browser. For others, well, you might have to just wait until the cache expires.
