WordPress for website

I am not a web designer, but I have some knowledge of html, css, php and I know how to build basic websites from scratch, using just a text editor and coding all the needed html and css. But I now want to learn how to use WordPress to design a website like the one in link provided. I installed WordPress locally on my computer and then began reading the www.ads-software.com support articles, but it seems to me that they mostly address using WordPress as a blogging platform. The website I want to build is not a blog, it’s just a static website with essentially no interaction with the user. But, it is quite complex in its design, with a multitude of menus, and submenus, image galleries etc. So my specific question is: where could I found support material to learn how to use WordPress to design a website such as the one in my link?
