When logged in site works and renders the frontend correctly. When not logged in (incognito) it doesnt render, it seems CSS isnt loading correctly. I updated all plugins, deactivated wp rocket… still frontend incognito doesnt render.

Any idea what could cause this error ? (I didnt change / update any plugins beforehand. suddenly this error occured)

  • Hi @traudel

I’m affraid your issue is more serious than that. You’re facing a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. Please, follow this guide to try to fix it: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/advanced-administration/wordpress/common-errors/#internal-server-error

If you can’t, contact your host.

    Best of luck!

Edit: Sorry, now your website is responding and indeed, it looks like CSS isn’t loading correctly. There is also many HTTP 503 Service Unavailable errors though. Try deactivating all of your plugins and then reactivating them one by one.

Hello, thanks a lot, yes – I just istalled an old backup, but issue still prevails. I deactivated every plugin, activated elementor / pro & woocommerce.. but still the issue is still there

Yes, there are still many HTTP 503 Service Unavailable errors:

    Service Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

    See: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Status/503

I recommend you to contact your hosting provider.

    Thanks Luk!,

I already asked for help, they say they cant see any issues regarding server.
Strange- I backup up to 10 days old backup, still there is this issue

    ____

    What i already checked:
-updated all plugins + themes // still error
-rolled elementor back to older versions // still error
-deactivated all plugins // Still error
-activated only elementor + WC // Still error
-installed backupd from 2 days ago (DB+webspace) // still error
-Installed backup from 10 days ago (db+webspace) // still error

Um, OK. The 503 error doesn’t seem to me to be a plugin/theme issue, but you were right to try.

For now, the website seems to be working perfectly (no more 503 errors). I suspect the problem will return at some point, unless you’ve just fixed it.

If it comes back, we’ll try other things.

Thx bro, just received an email from hostings support. They didnt tell me what settings they fixed, but now it works they say. I try to get them to tell me what was wrong and give feedback.

    Thanks a lot Luk!

Awesome! Yes, it was a server error, so more of a hosting issue than a WordPress issue at first glance.

Yes, please let us know how the problem was solved if you can, so that the community can benefit.

In the meantime, please mark your post as solved. Thank you!

And of course, feel free to reopen it if the issue happens again and your host isn’t able to help.

In this case reason for the error was a limit on the amount of requests put on the server. This limit was lifted and now it works.

    Thanks for you help luk!
