• I am using FancyBox plugin and the internal image gallery system of WordPress for my gallery. I cannot figure out how to make the images display side by side as well as up and down! Please help!

how many images have you got in your gallery?

I am going to have quite a few as it is an artist’s image gallery, however, right now its just the three that are there that I am using to test it out.

the gallery defaults to 3 columns so if you’ve only got 3 images they’ll line up side by side but not one on top of the other! add more images and see what happens ??

I put more in and it still isn’t putting them next to each other. :c

i’ve just had a look at the link you posted, are you using the [gallery] shortcode or are you clicking insert image into post/page?

The gallery shortcode is what I am using. It seems to be what you need to use to get the fancybox to work.

sounds like it could be an issue with fancybox and wordpress 3.1.1. (if that’s the version you’re running) fancybox hasn’t been updated for nearly a year and a half by the look of the plugin page on www.ads-software.com

What would be a good gallery for me to use thats more up to date?

i’d recommend shadowbox JS. it’s fully featured, up to date and very flexible. if your site’s going to make you money then you may need to buy a license.

i used to use wp-prettyPhoto but encountered the same issue with it not being compatible with the newest version of WP.

No, the site is a non-profit organization, so I don’t think so.
    Okay, I’ll check that out!
