• My blog was doing great, then suddenly one day WordPress puts out an update and now I get this:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare pka4() (previously declared in /home/content/j/o/c/jocavanaugh/html/panthers/index.php(1) : eval()’d code:1) in /home/content/j/o/c/jocavanaugh/html/panthers/wp-config.php(1) : eval()’d code on line 1

    I back up all my files, uninstall, then reinstall through GoDaddy. It puts up a new blog, but I can’t figure out how to get all my files to work, so my blog, images, posts etc all can work again.

  • Did you delete your MySQL database when you reinstalled? if you didn’t delete your database, your posts and pages are still there; you need to set the database URL in your wp-config.php.

    I posted a response to your comment on the Go Daddy forum. Want to make sure you get the assistance you need. I went to your site and it appears everything is working fine. Let me know if you still need some help with this.

    Interesting that GoDaddy monitors these forums….

    songdogtech, what is interesting is that I once got a phone call from GoDaddy in response to my comments on a forum entry here. So yes, they not only monitor the forums, but they also look up who is complaining about them and hunt them down!

    Also, Songdogtech, I just emailed you a question through your site…

    @thesportsidiot
    I wouldn’t say we hunt our customers down! We seek out our customers so that we can assist them and obtain their feedback.
