wordpress hangs after deleting a post (that had an rss import)

Hi all,

I hope somebody knows the solution: I had a post which i used a plugin (Feedsnap) to embed an rss feed from another site. it worked fine but when i deleted the whole post, wordpress hanged (v 2.8) the site uses phpMyAdmin, but not much to see there

what can i do to fix the problem, the page now loads but if i look in the source it stops when that post would come up (that i deleted) it seems that something stopped and keep looping..
the server admin says he see in the log that the server gets a lot of requests. where can i stop this process and resume the site.

i put a static page on the root now (so visitors can see that we are working on it) and i renamed the index.php, so you can see the sick page here: https://fcpug.hu/indexorigi.php
