wordpress home with jquery

Looking around some old bookmarks and stumbled across this
Jquery Quicksand

Thought it would be a cool way to show a mixed category grid of posts on a homepage but can’t think how to get the loop/individual posts into an unordered list to make this work.

Any one got any ideas – not sure this post is in the right place, apologies if not.

Hope the above makes sense
