wordpress homepage and permalink

Hello, i have a question here about default home page and link.

let’s say my current default home page is https://www.example.com that is currently being used for the company, but i’m building a 2.0 version that is ready to launch and need to be on the same url https://www.example.com, i know i can move the default home page to the 2.0 version, but what do i do with the permalink ?
