WordPress hyperlink not working

    Hello, just after update of wordpress to 4.2.1, the most recent version.

    I select the text and make it hyperlink. It doesnot apply <a tag to it. When i check source. Can someone confirm, its a wordpress bug…

    as i had just updated in my blog, no module or plugin installed.

  • Dod you try disabling all your plugins & switching to one of the default themes to see if that helps?

    Actually i am using ultimate no follow, i just checked in forums, disabling that plugin fixes the issue.

    I think wordpress should add the no follow thing to itself in editor.

    yes also had this same issue and you are correct the ultimate no follow plugin is causing the problem…

    I faced same issue.. and disabling ultimate unfollow resolved issue. Agree WordPress team should include it in next update

    Well plugin update came and issue has been resolved now. Everyone must update the plugin and can turn it on again.

    Working fine now after the plugin update.
