WordPress image gallery

Hi guys

I’ve implemented the callout image gallery (no plugin’s required) and I’d like to make it so the user doesn’t have to hover or view the enlarged pic to see the caption; I’d like it on the page with the smaller thumbnail pics. Is this possible without using an additional plugin?
