WordPress Import

  • Just a quick question … if I import files from one wordpress install to another which has a few posts, will the import overwrite the posts or just add to them?

  • Ya know? I’ve never tried an import to a blog with its own posts. But I’m 98% certain it’ll add as opposed to overwrite.

    Why not just backup the database and give it a shot?

    For future reference (and I suspected it would add to what was already there myself. ?? Yes. If you import a wordpress database from one install to a new one with posts already in it, it will add the new posts and not overwrite what is already there.
