• I’m inserting a contact form into my “Contact” page but WordPress keeps dropping in line break and paragraphs into my code, even in HTML view which causes the layout to break.

Did I miss anything? Is there a special tag I should be wrapping my HTML in so that it doesn’t get formatted by the WYSIWYG editor (even though I’ve disabled the rich text feature)?

  • This is the default WP behavior.

If you need to go purely XHTML, then you need to create a page template and add your contact form there.

Chances are though that you could format the contact form to work with the WP editor.

Hmm. Is there a playing that would allow me to get around this limitation?

One thing to try is to make sure that there are no line breaks in your pasted code (make it all on one line).
