WordPress inside a folder and XML Sitemap

  • I read somewhere about moving my WordPress core files into a directory, so i did it, keeping in the main root only the necessary files and putiting the rest into a folder named “core“. So far so good WordPress works like charm.

    But
    I’ve installed the Google XML Sitemap plugin and opened the XML file. Instead of having my homepage link there, now there is:
    https://www.mysite.com/core
    instead of what I think should be just:
    https://www.mysite.com

    If I copy-paste the “https://www.mysite.com/core” and paste it into the address bar I get the 404 page. Is it supposed to be like that?
