WordPress is set to UK date format but post listing shows US format

As per the WordPress documentation, this is by design:

The Date Format setting is intended to be used by theme designers in displaying dates on your site, but does not control how the date is displayed in the Administrative Screens (e.g. Manage Posts).

This is applicable for the Time format as well. Please refer to the following links for more details:

Yes, WordPress core features are the same for all locales.

Very strange and as a non American, pretty insulting. May I ask what changes between locales if one of the main setting difference between locales, the date format doesn’t change?

That’s odd. Changing the Site Language to English (UK) doesn’t change the format as well but changing it to Fran?ais or Afrikaans changes the administrative screen (back-end) date format to dd/mm/yy.

This might be a bug. Would you like to raise it on https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ ?

It sure looks like a bug. I will report it as a bug but currently your link gives 504 Gateway Time-out. I will try later.
